I haven't had a chance to actually get a good picture of this costume ever since I completed just before the Spiderman 3 premier!
(Actually, I finished this costume RIGHT before I left.... my eyes were burning from the smell of glue while I was in the car!)
Universal Studios didn't like that I was there, (Since I BRILLIANTLY chose to go see the premier at *that* theatre), and proceeded to kick me out of the park because I just looked too "Amazing" as Spiderman. (Don't worry, I saw the movie before this happened)
Anyway, YES. This is me in the costume
YES, I made this entire costume 100% from scratch.
I used plain black lycra and over a long, and painstaking period of time drew EVERY one of those 'little' shiney black bricks onto the costume. As well as the silver webs.
Total materials include:
-Black lycra
-Tulip Brand fabric paint: "Slick", Black
-Tulip Brand fabric paint: "Metallic" , Silver
-Black foamies
-White foamies
-Grease guard skillet mesh
.... This one will probably be going up on Ebay soon.
